1975년 공동창업후 1995년 ㈜현대연합 건축사사무소를 설립하였다. 대구 최초로 철골구조공장을 설계하였으며, 그동안 대구 산업시설 설계에 초석을 다졌습니다. 설립자가 이끄는 현대연합건축은 특히, 산업시설에 대한 다양한 설계경험과 풍부한 단지설계경험을 가지고 있어, 귀사의 비즈니스에 든든한 동반자가 되어 줄 것입니다 .
Sungil KOO co-founded the Hyundai Architecture Research Institute in 1975 and established an independent corporation in 1995. Sungil KOO, who has the expertise in the structural design, designed the first steel framed factory of Daegu and has been focused on factory designs for more than 5 decades. With him leading the company, HDYH has sufficient knowledge and experiences for the project of this kind.

홍익대와 한양대 대학원 졸업, 창조건축에서 실무를 쌓고 도미, 일리노이 공과대학교 건축대학원을 졸업 후, 2012년에 회사에 입사하여 대구에서 왕성한 활동을 하고 있다. 경상북도 공공건축가, 울산시 공공건축가, 대구시 안전진단위원, 대구 남구 건축위원 등 다양한 활동을 하고 있다. 또한 2012년부터 10년간 경일대에서 수업을 하였고, 현재는 ㈜현대연합 건축사사무소의 대표이사와 영남대학교 건축학부 겸임교수로 활동하고 있다. ChanWoo KOO has a Master’s degree in architecture from IIT(Illinois Institute of Technology) at Chicago, and he is currently a very active member of the local architectural community, including Public Architects of Gyeongbuk Prefecture, Ulsan City Public Architects, a member of architectural committee of Nam-gu(ward) of the city of Daegu, Director of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Architects Association, and Daegu Architects Society Steering Committee. Additionally, he taught classes at the Department of Architecture at Kyungil University for 10 years starting 2012, and is currently the CEO of HDYH Architects Inc. and an adjunct professor at the Department of Architecture at Yeoungnam University.

현대연합 설립자인 구성일 건축사와 김무권, 권국현등의 건축사분과 동문동에서 현대건축연구소로 시작하여, 1995년 현대연합건축사사무소로 별도 독립 법인 설립 후, 98년부터 현재까지 범어동 사옥에서 이어오고 있습니다.
